Deciding which dish to choose from a menu can be a stressful affair, but it’s a problem you won’t have to worry too much over at a new restaurant opening in Chelsea.

Orange Elephant isn’t bothering with menus, because the only food it will serve to diners are delicious steaks, served with its special house sauce, a side salad and hand-cut chips.

Diners have the choice of two steaks - the 12oz sirloin, carefully sourced from independent British farms, created from specially selected cuts of quality beef which has been aged for a minimum of 32 days, and cooked to the customers liking.

Or they can go for the show-stopping Tomahawk steak - the more expensive option which is designed for sharing and priced according to weight.

If a vegetarian should find themselves eating in Orange Elephant, they will be able to tuck into the gourmet truffle mac and cheese.

Head chef Jai Parkinson said: “After a long day at work, no one wants to be faced with making even more decisions in front of menus that go on and on forever.

"At Orange Elephant we keep it simple, honest and really good. We will be bringing friendly, knowledgeable staff with great personalities and a new exciting vibe to the area.”

The steak house, on Fulham Road, is named after the breed of South Devonshire cow from which the signature steaks are sourced. Orange Elephants are the largest of the native British cattle, with their nickname deriving from their wide faces, big ears and rust coloured coats.

No exact date for opening has been set yet, but it is hoped Orange Restaurant will be serving hungry carnivores by the beginning of November.
