The Good Food Guide has revealed its top places to dine in the UK and it features a long list of London eateries.

For the first time in five years, the guide, published by Waitrose , has announced a new "number one restaurant" - Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in Cornwall.

London may not have taken the top spot, but chef Nathan Outlaw does have a Michelin star restaurant in Knightsbridge called Outlaw's at The Capital.

Alongside the guide's top 50 finest dining establishments in the country, the book celebrates quality eateries and discoveries in local areas and again London features heavily here too.

Highly regarded by chefs and restaurant-goers alike, The Good Food Guide is compiled by combining reader feedback on restaurants up and down the country with anonymous inspections by a team of industry experts.

The Good Food Guide is published by Waitrose, RRP £17.99
