Samba and street dance workshops
EXPERIENCE a taste of authentic Brazilian samba with Northwood Community Arts Group, which is offering an introductory workshop for anyone aged eight and above.
The class will be led by the world renowned Paraiso School of Samba, whose artists grew up in Rio de Janiero. Participants will have the opportunity to try their hand at Bateria (samba drumming) with instruments provided. If successful, it is hoped the class will become a regular weekly event.
A series of six-weekly hip-hop street dance sessions will also take place for young mums to keep fit and let off steam. Beginners welcome.
