IT IS just over 50 years since Gerry Cottle completed that age-old adage and ran away and joined the circus, swapping his suburban London home for a caravan and his school books for a set of juggling clubs.

He soon excelled and expanded his repertoire to include stilt walking, bareback horse riding, fire eating, clowning & even a became a crocodile trainer, as explained in his recent biography ‘Confessions of a Showman – My life in the circus’.

Gerry quickly grew to become Britain's biggest and best-known circus performer enjoying film and TV appearances, especially the successful Saturday night spectacular ‘Seaside Special’.

Now to celebrate his 50 years on the road, Gerry Cottle, the last of the Great British Showman brings you his latest incarnation WOW! A circus like no other featuring an astounding 50 acts in 100 Minutes.
 
His latest spectacular WOW! is performing at Ravenscourt Park in Hammersmith from September 11 to 17, 5pm and 7.45pm on weekdays and 2pm and 5pm at the weekend. Billed as "a show for the 21st Century" it features circus acts from around the globe, from rock n roll roller-skates to death defying Sky High daredevils, from international illusionists to amazing acrobats & jugglers, non stop comedy chaos.
