MEMBERS of Ruislip Operatic Society, whose last award-winning production was Lionel Bart's Blitz, are continuing to channel the spirit of Keep Calm and Carry On for their latest offering, Little Shop of Horrors.

In June 2010, the amateur dramatics group were devastated by the loss of most of the scenery and props for their new show, after a dramatic fire burned down storage sheds at Haste Hill Nursery in Eastcote.

However, members have been working flat out to replace lost items, and are certain their new show, a comedy centred around hapless flower shop assistant Seymour Krelborn, and his discovery of a most unusual plant, Audrey II, will be a success.

Judge this performance

SET in 1947, the latest offering by The Argosy Players, Judgement at Nuremberg, centres around a military tribunal in which four German judges face the Allies' war crimes court.

Three are Nazi thugs but one, Ernst Janning - famed aristocratic legal scholar who detested Hitler - despite being cut from a different cloth, remained to serve the Third Reich. Was the group, who passed sentences resulting in genocide and turned a blind eye to the Holocaust, simply upholding Hitler's laws? Or were they responsible for much of the murder and atrocities during the war?
