Proscenium's hilarious production of Lettice and Lovage

LETTICE Douffet is the daughter of an actress who toured France performing Shakespeare's plays with an all-female company.

Having inherited both theatrical ability and eccentricity from her mother, she finds work as a tourist guide in a shabby stately home. As she attempts to enliven its dull history with her over-active imagination, she is caught in the act by Lotte, a stuffy preservation trust official.

At first, her days as an entertainer seem numbered, until the two discover they have more in common than they first realised. Lettice and Lovage is hilarious comedy by Peter Shaffer, brought to life by amateur company, Proscenium.
