Rocking in Ruislip
AFTER becoming regulars on the London club circuit as teenagers more than 40 years ago, veteran hard-rock act Stray can still boast a loyal army of fans - including none other than heavy metal legends Iron Maiden, who covered All In Your Mind.
The band are back on the road following the success of recent albums 10 and Live: In Yer Face, and are stopping off in Ruislip this Friday.
Expect an evening of no-nonsense entertainment with solid, well-written songs performed with that special spark which is only ignited when musicians are at the top of their game, and know each other inside out.

Hop along to rockabilly gig
JOIN London-based rockabilly trio, The Piccadilly Bullfrogs, for a musical journey down the Grand Union Canal during a cruise aboard the Elsdale II.
The trio, who are better known for performing as the Big Beat rock 'n' roll act, The Stargazers, cite Fats Domino, Hank Williams and Bill Haley among their many influences, and have mastered all aspects of their chosen genre, from swing-live to boogie-woogie and everything in between.
Despite their name, there is nothing frog-like about their voices, and they have wowed audiences across the UK, Europe, Japan and America.
The cruise leaves at 8pm and returns at 11pm.
The boat is fully licensed and fish and chips are available. Booking is essential.

School's out for summer fair
A COCONUT shy, face-painting and frog hoopla will be among the attractions on offer at a summer fair hosted by Cowley St Lawrence Primary School.
The popular event will also feature a cheerleading display, 100ft inflatable obstacle course and slide, go-karts and lucky dip, as well as a barbecue, fully licensed bar and a DJ. A fun day out for all the family.

Gilbert and Sullivan scores highly with Hillingdon group
MUSIC created by iconic comic operatic duo, Gilbert and Sullivan, will be showcased at Vyners School in Ickenham, courtesy of Hillingdon Choral Society.
The amateur choir, which originally formed in 1980, will perform an abridged concert version of Yeoman of the Guard, as well as many more musical classics.
