ONE: Exciting rock show tribute to the Rolling Stones

A ROLLING Stones tribute act will be putting on their most shamelessly camp costumes for an exciting rock show in Ruislip.

The Rollin Stoned play it very tongue in cheek but never to the detriment of the music, and they have even been described as the nearest thing to the real deal.

TWO: Double bill of comedy

A DOUBLE bill of comedy is coming to Ruislip, a preview and warm-up for Edinburgh Festival.

Richard Herring and Stephen Grant will take to the stage at the Comedy Bunker to entertain audiences ahead of their stand-up performances at the festival next month.

Richard, well-known from television in the 1990s (Fist Of Fun; Lee and Herring; This Morning With Richard Not Judy) has had huge success at the festival before and with his one-man shows. Stephen is an award winning comedian.

THREE: Remember When

FOUR: Two live bands at The Water's Edge

TWO Hillingdon bands - one seasoned, the other a true 'newbie - will play live together in Cowley.

The Price were formed in 1985 and for eight years were one of the leading combos on the borough small band scene.

Since splitting in 1993 there have been two retrospective 'best of' albums, and The Price have occasionally got back together for reunion gigs.

Colour Me Wednesday, on the other hand, are relative newcomers. Formed in 2008 they have played a number of local gigs at the likes of The Crown and Treaty, in Oxford Road, Uxbridge, and The White Hart, in Acton.

FIVE: Put on your boots for the Cowley and Little Britain Walk

ENJOY a healthy walk round some of the prettiest parts of the borough.

The two-mile route goes from Packet Boat Lane in Cowley into the 'lake district' of Little Britain.

Along the way there will be flora and fauna spotting around the lakes.

Please note that under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
