Sophie is due to get married and, in a bid to discover the true identity of her father - so he can walk her down the aisle - she secretly invites three men from Donna's past who all spent time on the island 20 years ago.
Mamma Mia! follows the twists and turns of Sophie's attempts to discover who her real Dad is, celebrating mothers and daughters, old friends and new family along the way.
The film - which runs for just over two hours and also stars Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Julie Walters - has been adapted for the silver screen by the same team who produced the hit West End and Broadway musical.
