Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be screened at London's first Odeon Luxe cinema in Putney moment's after its release at midnight on Wednesday (December 13).

Storm Troopers marched off screen and into the Putney High Street cinema that celebrated its grand opening with a gala on Tuesday (December 12) night.

The cinema will open its doors to the public on Wednesday evening with a double bill of the two latest Star Wars films.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be shown at 9pm on Wednesday followed by a preview of the brand new Star Wars: The Last Jedi immediately after its midnight release.

New luxury elements to the cinema include an elegant Oscar's drinks bar, lfully- reclining leather seats and three new screens with Dolby surround sound.

As well as 3D screens and plenty of legroom, the cinema's new selection of food and drink options including cocktails, chicken strips and touchscreen fizzy drinks dispensers, making for a full-on luxury experience.

Odeon Luxe project manager, Duncan Kerr, said: "London is home to some of the biggest film fans in the world, and to be able to bring the ODEON Luxe experience to them is thrilling for us in the lead up to Christmas. "
