Ever wanted a taste of stardom? Well now could be your chance.

Casting will be held in Hackney next week to search for extras to star in a feature film.

But not just any new feature film.

This one is being is being directed by Idris Elba, known for his starring role in BBC One's Luther and as druglord Russell Bell in The Wire.

The film is set in Hackney's Afro-Caribbean community in 1983.

Key Casting, which has cast background artistes for some of the biggest films in the UK including Star Wars: Rogue One, have asked people who are interested to come down and find out more about the project.

When is it?

Monday (May 8).

The casting runs from 4pm to 9pm and people can come anytime between these hours.

Where is it?

Whitmore Community Centre, 2-4 Phillipp Street, Barnsbury, Hackney, N1 5NU.

What you need to bring: Just yourself

What should I wear?

As the film is set in 1983, feel free to wear anything you think might be appropriate.

16 years and over, and you must be legally allowed to work in the UK.

If I am successful, will I be paid?

Yes. Key Casting confirmed extras will be paid.
