"When Anna accidentally stumbles upon an abandoned warehouse she discovers something within she never expected to find, a robot."

For established award-winning filmmaker, Patrick Ryder, Human will be his first entry into the sci-fi genre.

Drawing inspiration from science fiction films such as E.T and the recent Ex Machina, Human follows the story of Anna and her new-found robot friend.

The film promises to deliver “a beautiful, well told story yet real, the suit for the robot will be real, the effects will be as practical as possible to really give a sense that the events occurring within the film are as real as can be”.

Harrow filmmaker, Patrick Ryder wants your help to bring his new film to the big screen

Patrick Ryder has lived in Harrow his whole life and has already filmed several films in the borough and the surrounding areas.

“I am a keen believer in talent in Harrow and as an area for film locations and the film community,” he said. "In 2010, I won Best Film at the House of Commons film competition, Film the House, in front of members of BAFTA, Universal and Paramount.

“In 2014, I won several big film competitions including the Art for Freedom competition run by Madonna, who personally selected my film as the winner and gave myself and the co-director $10,000 to give to charities of our choice.”

Now, the film buff needs your help. He is inviting local people to help sponsor and fund his next project, helping to bring Human to the big screen.
