This Saturday (June 27), North End Road in West Kensington will become pedestrianised as a traffic-free summer market hits town!

The streets will be packed with 150 stalls on both sides, up to Lillie Road.

The event will include great gifts, crafts, jewellery and art, clothes, delicious food, including cakes and ice cream, drinks… plus a children’s funfair and live music!

Artistic local youngsters have also drawn colourful designs on canvas bags celebrating North End Road market, to be sold at the event this weekend. More than 200 Children from Sir John Lillie and Melcombe primary schools, both in Fulham, took part after being invited by the North End Road Action Group.

Deputy headteacher of Sir John Lillie school, Lee Duffy, said: "The children took to the project with great gusto and enthusiasm. A lot of the children use the road for shopping and were very excited about having their bags sold at the market."

The summer market builds upon the success of North End Road's traffic-free festive market, which saw over 10,000 visitors.

Speaking about the festive market, local resident Munni said: "Our flat over looks north end road and we were delighted to see so many people supporting local businesses. We enjoyed the day walking along the stalls and were lucky enough to have the Fulham Choir right outside our front room window."

The event will continue at an after party with food and live music, in eight pubs, bars and pop-ups around the area. Included are: The Goose Pub, The Lucky Pig, The Cock Tavern, Veggie Vegan, Jerky's, Moosh Fruit, Octoberfest Pub and The Lazy Fox.

Traffic restrictions will be in place for one day only, detailed on the map below:
