The Lyric in Hammersmith has announced its children's programme of events entitled "Little Lyric", especially for audiences between two and 11 years old.

From Saturday September 10, young theatre lovers will be able to book tickets for their favourite children's productions at the Lyric, from favourites like Chicken Licken to a fun literary festival!

A spokeswoman for The Lyric Hammersmith said: "This programme is sure to delight young audiences with stories of beanstalks, giraffes and space travel.

"The season also includes the travelling story circus, STORYSTOCK, which lands at the Lyric this October Half Term, for two days only on Thursday October 27 and Friday October 28.

"This two-day festival is packed with bookish fun, bringing stories to life through shows, storytelling, author talks and creative workshops."

Christopher Nibble

Chicken Licken

This one-person show is a trilogy of classic tales from the Ladybird books: Chicken Licken, The Little Red Hen and The Fox and the Hen, told with shadow and rod puppetry.

The story circus is landing in Hammersmith for October Half Term, bringing stories to life through shows, storytelling, author talks and creative workshops.

Highlights of STORYSTOCK include Roald Dahl's The Imagination Seekers, an interactive theatrical workshop, plus In Conversation Events with children's authors Judith Kerr, OBE and John Burningham.
