A circus hosted by the granddaughter of Billy Smart promises to take you “to another world and help you leave your worries behind.”

The Netherlands National Circus is coming to Eastcote this week and promises an array of acts from all over the world.

Yasmine Smart, the circus Ringmistress, said: “It's a very fast-moving show and we've got everything for all ages.

“I'm there at the beginning greeting people as they come in, and when they come in they think: 'Wow!' There's a special atmosphere that you can only create in the tent not in a building.

The show includes a flying trapeze act from Australia, clowns from Spain and Italy, an illusion act from France and many other never-before-seen acts in England, including a live orchestra.

Ms Smart added: “After the show, what I love is the feedback.

“They go out with a smile from ear-to-ear and hands hurting from applauding, and their mouth aching from laughing and smiling.”

The circus is at Field End Road Recreation Ground in Eastcote from 13th October to 18th October.

Showing times are: Tuesday to Friday 4.45pm & 7.30pm, Saturday at 2pm, 4.45pm & 7.30pm and Sunday at 12.30pm & 3.30pm.
