Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: 60,000 tickets to be released - find out how to get one

Don't miss out on tickets as the hugely popular West End production of the Wizarding franchise has been extended until 2018

Harry Potter fans will be pleased to hear that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child's run at London's Palace Theatre has been extended until February 2018.

Earlier this year an incredible 250,000 tickets sold out in hours as fans queued up online to secure their tickets to one of the biggest live stage productions in years.

Now disappointed fans will be pleased to know that the producers of the show have confirmed 60,000 tickets will be released for the newly announced shows between 13 December 2017 to 4 February 2018.

The two-part production, which was written by Jack Thorne and co-devised by JK Rowling takes place 19 years after the Deathly Hallows, the final volume in the series of novels about the young wizard.

It principally follows Harry Potter now a Ministry of Magic employee and his younger son Albus Severus who attends Hogwarts and must struggle with the weight of a family legacy.

JK Rowling asks fans who have been lucky enough to see the play already to 'keep the secrets' and not spoil it for other theatre goers.

The official script was released in July and became one of the most pre-ordered books of the year across the globe.
