Get ready for two days of sporting fun as GoFest returns to Surrey Sports Park in Guildford this bank holiday weekend .

The festival of sport, dance and fitness will feature an exciting host of both indoor and outdoor activities for visitors of all ages and abilities to enjoy on May 28 and 29.

Ticket holders can take part in as many of the 500 different sport and dance sessions on offer and enjoy all the entertainment with an all-inclusive ticket .

Opening times:

Sunday, May 28 2017: 8.30am-8pm

Monday, May 29 2017: 8.30am-6pm

Most sessions start at 9am, some at 10am

Parking:

Parking is free at Surrey Sports Park. It is advised to arrive by 9.30am to ensure a space

  • Tickets are also available on the gate but are 20% more expensive

  • The box office will be located and signposted outside to the right of the main reception door to Surrey Sports Park

  • GoFest recommends pre-booking your favourite sessions in advance

  • Ticket holders can pre-book up to four sessions per person and eight sessions for early bird ticket holders

  • In addition, festival goers will also be able to book plenty more activities on the day

  • Child tickets cost from £15 per day, adults £22 per day and family tickets from £55 per day.

Activities:

  • All activities involve family friendly, small group, coaching sessions throughout the weekend

  • Most start on the hour and last 45 minutes. They are pitched at an all ability level i.e. beginners welcome.

Outdoor sports:

There's everything from football with Chelsea Football Club and rugby with Lions Sports Academy, to family fun runs and obstacle courses.

Indoor sports:

From classic sports such as squash, gymnastics and basketball, to the more unusual activities such as scuba diving, free running and thumpboxing, there will be something to suit all tastes and ages.

Water activities include canoeing

Entertainment:

The main stage will feature a whole host of talent including West End singers, bands and rock choirs, amazing dancers and skilled gymnasts.

Food and drink:

The GoFuel Zone will feature a variety of food and drinks stalls, including barbecue food, pulled pork and other hot food options, as well as salads and healthy options.

Smoothies, ice creams, tea and coffee, as well as a fully stocked outside bar, will also be available.

No personal food is allowed into Surrey Sports Park

Spectators:

Spectator tickets can be bought online for £5 for children (£7 on the gate) and £8 for adults (£10 on the gate).

There are plenty of changing rooms and showers available to use inside Surrey Sports Park

Top tips:

  • Plan your day with your kids in advance so you all have an idea of some of the main activities everyone would like to do on the day
  • Pre-book a maximum of four sessions in advance online
  • Pack your bags - swim wear, sun cream, sports kit, rackets and balls for free play and your GoFest e-ticket
  • Get there reasonably early and book into any sessions that you have not already pre-booked.
  • Take your time to look at the programme and see where each activity will take place
  • Get started and have a go at as many different activities as a family together
  • Get to pool activities early to allow time to change and hear instructions
  • Enjoy the main festival areas in between your sessions - visit exhibitors, refuel at food vendors and enjoy displays from the main stage
  • Stay on for the early evening main stage entertainment with some barbecue food and a well-earned drink
  • No dogs allowed
