A fun-filled spring family activity day exploring nature trails, investigating mini-beasts and building animal shelters is being held in Gunnersbury.

Experts from the London Wildlife Trust are hosting the spring day out at Gunnersbury Triangle which lies on the borders of Hounslow and Ealing on Tuesday March 22.

The free event is part of the Find Your London festival, and will give children and adults a chance to explore the hidden, inner city nature reserve, where people can enjoy nature trails and discover a woodland paradise, listen out for the twitter of birds or the rustle of a wood mouse, look out for tunnels of field voles (rodent) or learn more about spiders and other bugs.

For those interested in creative hands-on activities the fun will include building shelters for hedgehogs and bee-homes as well a range of arts and crafts to get stuck into.

There will be special hand-outs, wildlife ID guides and activity sheets to help learn more about London’s wildlife.

This is one of 10 events run by London Wildlife Trust as part of the Find Your London festival, a spring-time celebration of the wonderful spaces and wildlife in London.

The free drop-in event will be held from 11am to 3pm.
