Free Harry Potter tour comes to London

Visit J.K. Rowling’s favourite streets in London which inspired Diagon Alley or Knockturn Alley

Potterheads can now delve into the world of Harry Potter in a free tour around London.

Strawberry Tours have launched the Potter themed tour around the capital, giving fans a sneak peek into some of the most iconic buildings, streets and neighbourhoods which inspired J.K Rowling, and appeared in the Harry Potter films.

Tour guides will be brimming with Potter information and will guide you to some of the most well-known Harry Potter attractions located in and around central London.

From the Leaky Cauldron seen in the Philosopher's Stone to the Millennium bridge which was destroyed by death eaters in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, you will be able to see the iconic filming locations.

The tour will visit Rowling's favourite streets in London, including those which inspired Diagon Alley or the creepy and dark Knockturn Alley.

Leaden Hall Market inspired JK Rowling for the Harry Potter series

Hear from tour guides about the huge premiere Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 – in Leicester Square and find out where you can find Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, Chocolate Frogs, or even Dumbledore’s favorite, Sherbert Lemons.

Then take a journey to the street outside the Ministry of Magic, where Harry, Ron and Hermione stunned ministry workers in their plot to break into the establishment and steal Voldemort's locket from Umbridge.

Take a walk down Knockturn Alley

Starting point: M&M's World in Leicester Square.

Start time: 3.30pm everyday.

The tour lasts around 2.5 hours with it ending at Covent Garden.
