The circus group behind Muse's stunning stage shows will help unveil Brentford's newly refurbished Market Place later this month.

Cirque Bijou has worked with the chart-topping rockers to create a four metre tall robot, two giant jellyfish and a floating lightbulb for the group's stadium tours.

Now it is set to kick off a week of activities celebrating the completion of regeneration works at the square outside the old magistrates' court.

The revamped square, complete with an eye-catching water feature, new paving and benches, will be officially opened on Sunday, September 28, with activities including carousel rides, live music and entertainment from street performers.

Before that Cirque Bijou will perform in the square on Wednesday, September 24, from 6.30pm as part of a residency with Watermans.

On Friday, September 26, there will be more free entertainment, this time at Brentford Lock Piazza, including free film screenings from The Floating Cinema.
