The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is being celebrated two weeks early at Cranford Park this Sunday (September 14).

Lemon cakes, cupcakes, carrot cakes and other tasty treats will be available - along with a cuppa, of course - from 10am to midday.

The baked temptations will be on sale in the secret garden, near the information and stables at the park, off The Parkway (A312).

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning, which is officially celebrated on September 26, is Macmillan Cancer Support's biggest fundraising initiative. Events hosted across the country raised £20 million for the charity last year.

There are a busy few weeks ahead at the park, with other upcoming events including London Open House next weekend and open-air theatre performances the following weekend.

Visitors can see inside the historic stables, the secret garden and St Dunstan's Church next Saturday (September 20), from 10.30am, and Sunday, from 11.30am. Members of Cranford Park Friends will be there on both days to answer your questions, and there will be an exhibition of classic motorcycles on the Sunday.

The following Saturday (September 27) and Sunday Outline Theatre will be performing Wheat to War, a dramatic celebration of local history, featuring dance and music. Performances will take place at 3pm each day. Tickets, priced £4, can be booked at www.outlinetheatre.co.uk or by calling 01895 851 936.
