It will be an extra special Christmas for boys and girls at Chessington World of Adventures this year.

The theme park's annual Winter's Tale event will feature the Gruffalo following the launch of The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure , which opened earlier this year.

Children will be able to celebrate with the enchanting creature, visit Father Christmas in his magical grotto, plus enjoy family favourite rides and meet animals at Chessington’s Zoo and Sea Life centre.

Open on selected dates from December 2-24, early-bird tickets have gone on sale, but you will need to be quick as the booking offer ends soon.

Winter's Tale features:

  • Join Mouse on The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, a magical riverboat journey through the deep dark wood.
  • Team up with the Gruffalo’s Child on a treasure trail around the park and receive a special pop badge.
  • Decorate festive treats in the Gruffalo Kitchen.
