The Brentford Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and organisers have promised twice the fun to celebrate hitting double figures.

The free annual fair, which drew an estimated 10,000 people last year, began in Boston Manor Park in 2005 and has been based in Blondin Park, just over the borough boundary in Ealing, since 2013.

It will be back in Blondin Park on Sunday (September 6), from midday to 6pm, featuring live music on two stages, fairground rides and the popular dog show, among a plethora of other attractions.

Organiser Linda Massey said: "In honour of hitting double figures, the team behind Brentford Festival is pledging to double up on everything that has gone before; double the music, double the entertainment, and naturally double the fun."

The main stage will play host to performers ranging from rock to folk, including Deep Purple tribute act Perfect Purple, while those who like their music unplugged can head over to the acoustic stage. The BUSking Bus will also be pulling up with workshops for budding musicians wanting to have a go themselves.

There will also be wide range of food on sale and 70 stalls with everything from handmade crafts to information on what to do in the area. There is still space for a few more stall holders and additional volunteers are also welcome.

The RedRoutemaster company will again be transporting visitors from around Brentford to the park with their iconic double deckers.

This year's key sponsor is the local estate agents Thorgills, and blues and roots trio The Great West Groove will be helping people get in the spirit the night before with a gig at The Brewery Tap in Brentford.
