Best places to go for afternoon tea this Mother's Day

Mother's day is just around the corner, and what better way to show your mum you care than by taking her for afternoon tea in a beautiful café? Here are our favourites.

Mother's Day is not too far away now, with the annual day to celebrate our mums falling on Sunday March 6 in 2016.

And if you want to treat your mum to a great experience (as well as getting her the perfect gift, of course!) then nothing says you care better than a sumptuous afternoon tea for two in a beautiful local café.

Here are our favourites in west London to treat the most important lady in your life.

Chelsea

The Cadogan Hotel on Sloane Street serves Chelsea buns and marigold tea blends on their menu, and is set in a wood-panelled lounge.

Fulham

The Drawing Room Café in Fulham Palace overlooks the palace gardens and offers a variety of pastries, sandwiches, cakes and buns. The menu changes according to the season, so this Mother's Day expect springtime treats.

Harrow

The Doll's House on the Hill is a vintage inspired café serving cute cupcakes and retro teas in a picturesque setting.

Kensington

The Milestone Hotel offers a luxurious countryside atmosphere with a view across Kensington Gardens... Perfect for a Mother who loves the outdoors.

Notting Hill

For a traditional Chinese afternoon tea, head to Teanamu Chaya Teahouse. They serve authentic Chinese dishes such as black lychee tea and soft marshmallows dusted with green tea.

A self-boiling kettle on each table mean you can re-fill whenever you need.

Afternoon tea takes place on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 6pm. Tea costs £10 minimum per head.

Shepherd's Bush

Dorsett Shepherd's Bush boasts stylish surroundings to indulge in afternoon tea. The hotel overlooks Shepherds Bush Green. They serve a classic afternoon tea with sandwiches, home-made scones and a selection of sweet delights, as well as a sparkling afternoon tea for further celebration!

Somewhere for the boys...
