Organisers of the brand new north London half marathon which will feed through Wembley have announced that Macmillan Cancer Support will be its national charity partner.

Runners of the inaugural race will be treated to a unique “stadium to stadium” experience, through the boroughs of both Brent and Barnet.

The event will take place on Sunday, March 15 next year starting at Allianz Park in Barnet, home of the Saracens Rugby Club then going through the streets of Brent.

Challenge events team manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, Kathryn Cheshire said: “We are incredibly proud and excited to be the official charity of the Vitality North London Half Marathon, and hope over 300 amazing runners will raise more than £100,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support."

In addition to Macmillan Cancer Support, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Alzheimer’s Society, Scope, Stroke Association, British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK have also signed up as affiliate charities for the Vitality North London Half Marathon.

The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is the official charity of the Vitality Run Series.
