It was an interesting day at my home even though I had no idea of what was in for me. I turned on the computer and prepared to log on. When I was about to log on I saw an incredibly freaky surfing elf. I saw it looking at me with bright red eyes. Bright yellow was its hair and greenish-brown was its tunic. All of a sudden he jumped out the screen splashing me with his board. I decided to restart the computer but when the screen lit up something strange happened.

Something else was there with him. I make out an incredible werewolf on his surfboard but he wasnt very good. Both creatures shocked me. I did a very loud scream that hurt my poor ears. I made the whole flat shake and I fell over.

"Hello Coral. We are your worst nightmares. Try pinching yourself," the werewolf said in a ghoulish voice.

"Alright then" I replied trying to show them they were not doing a good job of scaring me. Hurriedly I looked at the clock realising I had missed my friend Stevens party. I was so looking forward to his brothers rock band coming to play us music to dance to. I then looked at my watch which tells the date as well as the time. I was relieved because his party started tomorrow.

At my school (Coral Reef High) the next day I caught up with my 5 friends; Mick, Brooke, Roxanne, Steven and Matthew. Every evening we go to our local beach in Australia and ride the waves with the Coral Reef Academy of Surfers for 9-16 year olds. While we were waxing up our boards I told Brooke and Matthew what had happened to me the day before. Matthew had the response of "That happened to me too!" but I dont believe him. On the other hand Brooke had a more serious response of "I think that is very extraordinary, Coral." Instead of going to surfing I met up with Steven who was also missing surfing to set up for his ultra great party. I made a bet that Mick would be riding the waves and Brooke was in the queue for the caf› (Brooke loves her nosh). Soon Stevens brother and his rock band had to eventually arrive. Suddenly, the electric guitar burst into music. We both jumped with both delight and shock as Steven and I both like rock music as much as each other. I really like Stevens brother as he let me go on his electric guitar and taught me and Steven a song which sounded really cool. I caught on real fast. Quicker than Steven actually. Eventually, the other guests arrived and we had a whale of a time together. Just as I was leaving I remembered to ask Steven what had happened the day before. He just shrugged and said to try scaring them with my board. I knew what to do then.

I ran the whole 2 miles to my house in excitement and when I got home I went straight for the draw that kept my wax. I was going to use my wax because I noticed that they hadnt waxed their board before riding the waves. I succeeded in frightening them because the creatures faded shouting "Nooooooooooooooo!" at the top of their voices. My mum came in because of the noise. At that moment I pressed play on my paused DVD.

"What was that noise, Corrie?" mum asked (she sometimes calls my Corrie).

"Oh it was just my DVD, Mum," I said as if nothing had ever happened.
