The Stables Art Centre and Art Gallery in Dollis Hill is hosting a solo exhibition by artist Rhiannon Hunter - a recent graduate of textiles at Goldsmiths College.

It will be the first main show of her work and is entitled 'Cemented Dreams', featuring multi-layered printed textiles heavily influenced by urban landscape and environments.

Rhiannon, 22, of New Cross, says: "Every piece is hand printed as that is really important to me. I am really interested in using the body and avoid using computers and machines.

"My work is about home, belonging and change and how you respond to the environment."

"My work is also about the transient nature of urban living - looking at the different aspects and adding a different perspective."

She is thrilled to be exhibiting her work at The Stables Gallery in Gladstone Park, as the building itself has particular interest for her.

"It is a big empty space which I absolutely love as much of my work is made of wall pieces and will really fit in with the building."

Some of the works will be available for purchase as Rhiannon is keen on developing her career and establishing herself as an artist.

She said: "Small pieces I would like to sell. They are really unique due to the hand-made process."

The exhibition will be unveiled on Thursday, March 12, and closes on Sunday, April 5, with opening hours Thursday to Sunday from 2pm until 5pm.
