A new musical featuring the music of Dusty Springfield is heading to New Wimbledon Theatre.
The show will star Diana Vickers, best known for her appearance on The X Factor and later music career, Debra Stephenson who is best known for her roles in Bad Girls and Coronation Street and Eastenders actor Ian Reddington.
The story follows three broken hearts, who are strangers and generations apart as they are drawn to what was the venue of Soho hang-out, the Preacher Man.
It was a legendary swinging 1960s venue owned by the Preacher Man himself who offered advice to lonely hearts, but it now remains a myth and a memory.
But his son, with the help from the Cappuccino Sisters may channel the spirit of the Preacher Man and give the three lovesick strangers the look of love.
Meanwhile it is being directed by Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood who has recently worked on the UK tour of Sister Act.
The show will feature classic Dusty tracks including "The Look of Love", "I Only Want To Be With You", "Spooky" and of course the title song.
Revel Horwood said: "I am delighted to bring to life for the very first time this wonderful story created by Warner Brown, with soulful songs from the legendary Dusty Springfield's iconic music catalogue.
"I hope that audiences across the country will come to love this warm-hearted and uplifting new musical as much as I do."
Tickets for the New Wimbledon Theatre shows are available from ATGtickets.com.
They're priced between £15 to £36.50, plus booking fees.
The musical makes it debut on September 4 at Bromley's Churchill Theatre before visiting the likes of Birmingham, Sunderland, Manchester, York and Stoke.
