A fresh perspective on Isleworth to be seen as a historic quarter of London is promised at a new photography exhibition.

'Old Isleworth - New Images' features original images of the riverside area within the borough of Hounslow taken by local photographers.

They hope to shine new light on the picturesque streets, once trodden by the likes of Turner , Van Gogh and David Attenborough, and to capture it for posterity amid the fast-changing backdrop.

'Old Isleworth - New Images' is at The South Street Gallery, Lower Square, Old Isleworth, from Friday, December 4 until Monday, December 14. The free exhibition is open from 9am-3pm on weekdays and 10am-5pm at weekends. For more information visit http://abeautifulimage.com/isleworth .
