Iconic work by artist Paul Catherall is to be displayed in For Art's Sake Gallery in Ealing later this month.

The exhibit runs for one month, from Friday (April 17), and presents over 50 original works.

The display 15 Years of Linocuts will display the artist's linocuts of architectural landmarks from around London, many of which were used in Transport for London's recent bus poster campaign.

The process to make the prints is painstaking and can take several weeks to complete a piece of work.

Owner of For Art's Sake, Brian Davis, said: "Many Londoners’ will be familiar with his work, even if they don’t know his name, as he produces images that have been displayed as posters on bus stops and tube stations all over the city.

"This exhibition gives people a chance to see these impressive prints along with a wide range of other works celebrating many of our favourite London landmarks, along with recent additions to the London sky line, such as The Shard."

Catherall's work has been displayed all around London

In an interview with For Art's Sake, Catherall said: "I love London, always have.

"I came down here as soon as I’d graduated. My upbringing in Coventry gave me an appreciation for modernist/brutalist landmarks (though I didn't know that as a teenager).

"I found that places like the Elephant and Castle shopping centre and the Southbank reminded me of my childhood so I felt at home there.

"I just find strong light on concrete structures appealing! I love that London had such a range of architecture."
