Get ready for something a little different this Christmas , as pop-up theatre company Humdalila Productions is putting on an exciting immersive family performance of Cinderella, with a few contemporary additions.

The play will take place at the stunning Chiswick House and Gardens, and will feature twists on the classic fairytale, from ballerina snowflakes, to an acrobatic lizard, to an illusionist sidekick for the Fairy Godmother.

The production will take place in a pop-up theatre tent in the walled gardens of the House and will be accompanied by a live orchestra performing an original score, as well as a one-man band.

There will also be children's face painting and balloonists at the tent before the show, should you arrive early.

Cinderella will be performed in Chiswick House for two weeks

Mary Monro, founder of Humdalila Productions, said: "I believe that aside from the myriad of pantomimes at Christmas, there is little choice for the public when it comes to children's musical theatre. We have created a whole new world for Cinderella to exist in and are thrilled to bring this bespoke event to life.

"Stepping away from the traditional panto, this production aims to bring surprise and magic to our audience over the Christmas period. We promise no audience member will be left disappointed.

"We are honoured to be able to host our magnificent performance in the stunning venue at Chiswick House Gardens. We are extremely pleased that we have this magical setting to provide an air of enchantment to the whole experience."

Shows will be running twice daily between Friday December 16 and Saturday December 31, excluding Christmas Day. Tickets cost from £30 and are available online .
