We're so heavily bombarded by data in this information rich age it can be overwhelming.

But one man has found a way to digest these facts and figures to create artwork which is both beautiful and thought-provoking.

Michael Takeo Magruder combines traditional visual art forms with modern technology to produce arresting images like this 'Data Flower'.

By giving organic body to such ephemeral 'living' data surrounding us, his work reflects on how rapidly emerging technologies both shape and are shaped by the real world in which we live.

His new solo exhibition 'Living Data' is at Watermans arts centre, in Brentford High Street, until March 15.

* If you're aged 17-25 you could take part in a series of free workshops to create artworks for inclusion in the exhibition.

The workshops will take place every Saturday from January 24 to February 21, between 2.30pm and 5pm, and will be led by the artist Takeo and 3D visualisation technologies researcher Drew Baker. Email irini@watermans.org.uk if you're interested in getting involved.
