A group of 35 young rugby players from St Benedict's School travelled for a unique behind the scenes visit to Allianz Park, home of the Premiership side Saracens, last Thursday.

Gaining a special insight into a professional rugby club, the boys not only had the opportunity to watch the Saracens team train in preparation for their game against Newcastle Falcons but also had a training session of their own on the pitch.

A particular highlight of the visit was the opportunity to meet and talk to England internationals David Strettle and Brad Barritt. To finish, the boys enjoyed a stadium tour as well as an insight into the Saracens culture.

James Coles, director of rugby at St Benedict’s said: "The visit to Saracens was hugely beneficial for both our students and our staff in reinforcing the core values of work rate, energy and courage, which are a key part of our rugby environment here at the school."
