NATIONAL LEAGUE ONE Sedgeley Tigers...............11 London Welsh................43

London Welsh head into their top-of the-table clash with Bedford on Saturday in high spirits after a six-try demolition of Sedgley.

Bedford sit top of National League One prior to their visit to Old Deer Park, but Welsh are the only other club bar Leeds Carnegie to also boast a 100 per cent record after running riot in the second half against the Tigers.

The hosts made the perfect start as Aaron Hopkins crashed over after just three minutes from Aled Thomas' pass. The Dragons failed to build on this advantage and were only 8-6 in front before Darrell Ball's score on the stroke of half-time after good work from Paul Doran-Jones gave them breathing space.

Whatever director of coaching Martin Jones said at half-time it had the desired effect with Allen Chilton's try within four minutes of the restart. Thomas' testing high ball created a line-out opportunity just a few metres from the hosts' line, and after Matt Corker secured possession, Chilton arrived to burst through and score.

It proved the score that opened the floodgates as two further tries came in three minutes.

Dan George was first to crash over to secure the bonus point and then Tom

Brown got in on the act after Welsh won a scrum against the head.

Peter Murchie added the sixth late on from Tom Tombleson's pass, before Welsh conceded a consolation try in the dying minutes.
