Australian forward Atelea Vea has been named in London Broncos' 19-man squad to face Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in their First Utility Super League clash at The Hive on Saturday.

Vea only arrived in London today (Thursday) but Broncos head coach Tony Rea had no hesitation in including the former St George Illawarra Dragons back rower in the line-up.

“He’s been training back in Australia and is in really good shape,” said Rea. “He’s good to go.”

Half back Josh Drinkwater, who had to pull out of the Warrington game after sustaining a hamstring injury in the warm up, is included alongside prop James Greenwood.

“Josh has had a healthy week, and James has had a solid week in training,” said Rea. "Jon Wallace and Iliess Macani are the players to drop out the squad.

Looking ahead to the challenge of Wakefield, Rea said: “We’re really looking forward to it.

"There’s a lot of hype around it and there’s going to be a lot of energy in the game. We’re growing and developing strongly as a team. They had their first good result last week so it looks like being a really good game.”

The full 19-man squad is: Jordan Atkins, Michael Bishay, Mason Caton–Brown, Matthew Cook, James Cunningham, Joshua Drinkwater, Ben Farrar, Carl Forster, Alex Foster, James Greenwood, George Griffin, Olsi Krasniqi, Michael Mcmeeken, Thomas Minns, Scott Moore, Jamie O’Callaghan, Nick Slyney, Denny Solomona and Atelea Vea
