LONDON NORTH THREE LONDON NIGERIAN.......................12 Tabard.........32

Referees have not been Nigerian's best friends over the last few games.

The sin-bin has seen more than its fair share of green-shirted frustration, and for the third Saturday in a row it got another visit by a player from the Linford Christie side.

The yellow inflicted on the returning Ibi Shelleng after a long lay-off for a handling offence left his team-mates gobsmacked.

And when the man with the whistle failed to see a blatant ruck offence leading to a Tabard try, Leon Lam lost the plot by thumping the scorer. Unsurprisingly, his red mist was duly followed by a red card.

It was a crying shame because Winston Bell-Gam scored two great tries early on - the second of which followed a deft pass from second-row Anthony Obiekwe.

But after the loss of Lam, and an injury to kicker Josh Bruce, Nigerian were up against it and a close 14-12 scoreline at the time disappeared almost as quickly as an angry Lam back into the changing rooms.

LONDON NORTH THREE Hampstead.............................................24 HAMMERSMITH & FULHAM...............10

THE TUBE was no pal of Fulham FC this week forcing the Whites to play their FA Cup match against Swansea on Tuesdaya day early than desired.

And the weekend service up to Hampstead on Saturday also left Hammers cursing the vagaries of public transport.

Amazingly, the Hurlingham Park side started the better despite their last-minute arrival.

Scott Richards slotted an early penalty and then Ryan Dilley fed the H&F kicker for a well-worked try, which he converted himself for a 10-7 lead at the break.

That was that, as far as the good news goes.

Hampstead had less of the ball in the second-half and were far more clinical when they were in possession.

Two well-taken tries with both converted rubbed salt into Hammersmith wounds. [25a0] IT MAY have been only a friendly, but Hammersmith & Fulham Ladies trounced London Welsh 26-10 away on Sunday.

Welsh are two divisions higher than the Hurlingham Park team.
