A thrilling second-half comeback came up just short as Grasshoppers went down 27-22 to Twickenham on Saturday.

Three converted tries and two penalties gave Twickenham a 27-0 half-time lead and had Gs on the ropes.

But with the wind on their backs, Gs were a different team after the break, and scrum-half Stuart Daniels started the comeback with a try.

Gerywn Hughes reduced the deficit further with a penalty,and was on hand to convert when Callum McCormack ran in a debut try.

Daniels than ran in his second try of the game,which Hughes converted.

But just as they went all-out for a final attack, Twickenham turned it over and booted for touch. Gs visit Finchley on Saturday.
