Quick-fire Allen Chilten notched a try within 47 seconds of their game against Rotherham at Old Deer Park on Saturday.
Tom Rock and Mark Harris combined to set him up as Rotherham minds were still in the dressing room, and Aled Thomas added the extras.
Try number two wasn't too long in coming either, with blindside flanker Darrell Ball, on his return from an injury lay-off, feeding Paul Mackey, who put in Harris to score.
Thomas converted, then kicked a penalty before using another to set the ball rolling for Welsh's third try.
Ball snaffled the resulting line-out and fed Mackey to again set up a try, this time for Michael Tagicakibau, also returning from an injury lay-off.
Rotherham sub Jon Skurr notched two tries for the visitors in the second-half.
But in between, Welsh grabbed their bonus-point try, with Mackey again involved - with a pass to Alex Walker, who put in Tom Tumbleson.
Welsh won 27-17, moving them up to fifth in National One.
