Man of the match Josh Reid bagged four tries as South West London Chargers became the first ever team to retain the Harry Jepson Trophy on Saturday.
The tournament, in its 17 year, sees the champions from feeder leagues to the Rugby League Conference from around the country, go head to head in a season's finale.
Chargers, who were until recently based in Chiswick, are in only their second season following a merger between West London Sharks and South London Storm.
However, they have wasted no time in becoming history makers, retaining the trophy with a 64-4 thumping of Jarrow Vikings in Sheffield, and will now get another crack at the Rugby League Challenge Cup too.
Chargers, with eight players who featured in last year’s final, dominated from the off, with Tala Petelo opening the scoring with a try, followed by a hat-trick from Reid and further scores from Ben Hird and Tom Poole as they led 36-0 at the break.
Tom Lavis, who converted all six tries before the break, both touched down and converted after the interval before Jarrow finally opened their account with a try, but Chargers showed no mercy and added four more tries in the final quarter.
Reid bagged his fourth, while Joe Briggs, Dan Williams and Liam McGee also crossed the whitewash, with conversions from Lavis and Leon Blacker wrapping up the victory.
