London North One

Woodford 5-69 Old Priorians

Old Priorians were in rampant form to secure their biggest win of the season by a distance on Saturday.

A two-week break saw the Perivale club lick wounds clean after a heavy by Colchester, but they bounced back in style with winger Aristide Goualin running in five tries, although it was outside centre Dan Porter who was pick of the backs.

Not only did he score a hat-trick of tries but his lines of running and relentless work in defence would no doubt have given his opposite man nightmares this week.

Second row Michael Dolan was named forward of the match, with the London North One club moving to 10th in a 14 team division.

Coach Antony Andrews said: “We have a lot of pace in the team and now the pitches are starting firm up it is certainly suiting us. In particular our winger Aristide has scored an incredible eight tries in the last two games.

“What was more pleasing on Saturday was that we were missing a handful of first team regulars through injury and sickness but the guys stepping in were fantastic.”
