Two St Gregory’s teams lifted trophies at the Brent Cup five-a-side finals.

The school were victorious in the Year 8 and Year 9 tournaments while Capital City topped the pile in the Year 10 competition.

It was an all St Gregs final in the Year 8 section as the B team edged out the As 2-1 in a tense final.

Kai Burrows had given the Bs the lead but the As hit back through Michael Adjei, leaving Keano Mason to step up and restore the lead.

Reece Weeks was named player of the tournament, closely followed by goalkeeper Immanuel Williams.

It took extra-time to settle the Year 9 final as the Saints squeezed past Newman with a 2-1 victory, Mason Armstrong weaving his magic to clinch the silverware.

Newman had won their league with 12 points thanks to good performances by goalkeeper David Ferreira.

And Capital City’s Year 10 triumph was sealed after an extra-time triumph over Ark Academy.

Brandon Ramsey, who scored in every round, kept the sequence going with the opener for Ark in the final.

However, Kingsley Eshun's scuffed shot was deflected past the AA goalkeeper in the last minute to force the game to go beyong regulation time.

Luke Galvin beat two players and finished cooley to make 2-1 to Capital City and then Kingsley Eshun used pace and power to fire home  for 3-1.

Gabriel Nurse got one back for Ark to make it 3-2 and set up a nervy ending to the game, however City held their nerve to get over the line.

Tyrone Tomlin won player of the tournament after some sensational showings for Capital City.
