OLD Isleworthians U9 Reds came up just short in their bid to take the trophy at the Feltham Youth tournament last week.

Two great goals from their player of the tournament Sam Robinson helped take the Reds to the final, but neither he nor any of his team

mates could find a way past West Drayton's defence in the final, where they went down 2-0.

Earlier, the Reds had beaten Old I's other team in the competition, the U9 Whites, 3-0 in the semi-final, Robinson scoring one of the goals, while the other two came courtesy of Luis Robinson-Ventour.

The Whites' player of the tournament was Jake Brand.

Meanwhile, the U7s played in a tournament at Imber Court, Hampton, winning three matches and losing two - all games at U7 level are classed as 'non competitive, so no league tables applied.

Rohan Luthra was named Old I's player of the tournament.
