FANCY watching England take on Australia in the Ashes? Well, you can thanks to our fabulous cricket competition.

We have teamed up with Middlesex County Cricket Club to offer a prize of a lifetime – a pair of tickets to watch a day of the second Investec Ashes Test at Lord’s on Sunday, July 21, 2013.
With England reclaiming the Ashes from Australia in England in the summer of 2009 under the leadership of Middlesex’s own Andrew Strauss, then retaining them Down Under in 2010/11, the Aussies will be determined to get their hands on that famous little urn.

Both sides are going through significant changes since last locking horns, so the forthcoming Investec Ashes Test series promises to be a thrilling contest and our winners have the chance to watch history unfold at Lord’s.

Not only will they get to watch England in action in this crucial game from fantastic seats in the grandstand, they will also get to enjoy an array of fine food and wine throughout the day.

A sumptuous Jamie Oliver hamper containing a mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon tea and a bottle of wine is included as part of the prize, so our winners will have all they need for their brilliant day out at the home of cricket.

To be in with a chance of winning this great prize, get the latest edition of the Gazette and answer the following question and fill out the form alongside. The form must be a cut out from your newspaper.

Which 35-year-old Middlesex opening batsman has been included in the Australian squad to play against England this summer in the Investec Ashes series?

Completed entries should be sent to Ashes cricket competition, TMS sportsdesk, Stoke Mill, Guildford, Surrey GU1 1QA. The closing date is Friday, July 12, 2013 at noon. TMS competition rules apply.

Good luck with your competition entry, although if you are not lucky enough to win on this occasion, you can still get to enjoy the rest of the season watching Middlesex County Cricket Club in action at Lord’s by joining as a member.
