For the next two weeks, SW19 will be the temporary home of the world's top tennis talent, but where do the sport's stars usually call home?

By far and away the most popular town or city of residence declared on Wimbledon's official site by the tournament's players is Monte Carlo in Monaco.

As many as 16 players at this year's tournament claim to live in the city famed for its glitz and glamour.

Perhaps the most famous of the players who claim to be residents is reigning men's singles champion, Novak Djokovic.

The Serbian player is one of 13 tennis stars from former Soviet Bloc countries to live in the principality including the likes of Tomas Berdych, Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova all of whom hail from the Czech Republic.

Moscow has the next highest number of its residents playing in the tournament with ten in total.

Unlike Monte Carlo though, all but one of the city's residents in the tournament were born in the same country as the city, though he - Georgia-born Teymuraz Gabashvili - will be representing Russia at Wimbledon.

After Moscow comes the Spanish city of Barcelona with nine players at this year's tournament.

London, Bradenton and Bucharest have seven players at the competition, while Prague, Melbourne, and Bratislava have six players each.

All of the UK's representatives still reside in the UK.

London has four UK players living in the city - Andy and Jamie Murray, James Ward, and Dominic Inglot.

Liverpool has two, Ken and Neal Skupski, while Stockport also has two - Liam and Naomi Broady.

Guernsey's Heather Watson has joint residency in both Guernsey and Bradenton Florida.
