NEIL Sullivan is in no doubt as to which club he sees as the 'real Wimbledon' ahead of Sunday's grudge FA Cup tie between AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons.
The veteran keeper spent 13 years between the sticks for the original Wimbledon before they upped sticks to Milton Keynes, leading to the formation of AFC as a breakaway club.
Sullivan last month joined AFC on loan, just in time for the first ever meeting between the two clubs laying a claim to Wimbledon's history.
AFC are currently checking on Sullivan's eligibility for the tie as parent club Doncaster Rovers could put a block on him playing.
Sullivan said: “It's a huge game for me due to the emotional ties, having spent so many years at Wimbledon, and a great game for the fans too.
“I left in 2000 just before it all started happening, but I see this as my club. I treat it as AFC being my former club, carrying on the spirit of Wimbledon.
“It's a shame Wimbledon are not around any more, but the way I see, AFC have taken their story on, and I would have been supporting AFC in this game if I wasn't involved as a player.”
In case Sullivan cannot play, the Dons gave both Seb Brown and Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz run outs in Tuesday's 1-1 development squad game against Gillingham.
