UWE Rosler admitted his Brentford players were overwhelmed by the occasion after losing today's League One play-off final to Yeovil Town.

The Bees went in 2-0 down at the break following a nightmare first half at Wembley, and despite pulling one back through Harlee Dean and dominating the second half, it was not enough.

Boss Rosler insists he would not have changed anything about his line-up or tactics, but thinks the enormity of the game got the better of his troops.

He said: “Some players were overwhelmed today. But there were no nerves in the build up, and the dressing room had been exactly the same before the Swindon and Doncaster games.

"If you saw how we played against Swindon, it would have been madness to change the tactics or formation. But a lot of our players have not played in a stadium like this before, and we did not take the initiative.”

“In the second half we lost the nerves, and we should have got something out of it. But overall, we didn't deserve it.

“For their first goal, sometimes you just have to give credit for a great finish, but the second goal was unacceptable. We have to better, it made our life difficult.

“Every time we play Yeovil they don't have to work that hard to get the first goal. Every time, their first shot is a goal, and they then defend very well.

“All credit to Gary Johnson and his team, they did a very good job. We had them on the knees in the second half, but couldn't find enough to get that second goal."
