Wealdstone boss Gordon Bartlett has once again put faith in his young squad to fulfil their fading Ryman Premier League play-off dream.

Bartlett was disheartened by the 3-1 Easter Monday defeat to Harrow Borough but still thinks his side can come good in a week which will make or break their season. They host Margate tomorrow (Wednesday) before Boreham Wood (Saturday), Ashford Town (Tuesday) and Aveley (next Thursday) visit the St George's Stadium.

"We are not picking up enough points and the spark we had early doors is not there at the moment," he said. "With playing three games a week from now on what we needed out of Monday was a platform. The derby was the ideal chance but unfortunately it’s gone completely the other way.

“But the bottom line is these players got us in to a very good situation and I have to believe they are good enough to finish the job."

Stones will be without several players for the visit of the Gate. Goalkeeper Sean Thomas is out (concussion) and Sam Beagle should start in his place. Midfielder Chris O'Leary is doubtful after picking up a groin injury while James Gray and Kieron Forbes both serve one-match bans following their dismissals in the Ryman League Cup final last month.

Our prediction: Stones will be smarting after Monday's loss but Margate have become a tough side to beat of late despite having the second worst defensive record in the league with 65 goals conceded. 1-1.
