BRENTFORD boss Uwe Rosler insists he will be treating the Johnstone's Paints Trophy with nothing but total seriousness.
The Bees take on AFC Wimbledon in the first round of the JPT at Griffin Park tonight with memories of the Derby debacle still fresh in the memory.
Rosler came under fire from supporters last Tuesday for fielding an under strength team in the Capital One Cup, which was hammered 5-0 at Pride Park.
But the Bees boss said: “After having been criticised by some of the fans, I would like to say I take every competition we play in seriously, and I have never disrespected any competition.”
Under competition rules, Rosler must field at least six starters from last Saturday's league game against Carlisle.
