Alex Garnett followed up his success in the London Youth Games with a fine display at the ASA National Swimming Championships this week.

The London 2012 Olympics hopeful landed a 50m freestyle gold and 4X50m relay silver for Hounslow in last month's Youth Games.

And he added another medal to his haul at the Nationals, in Sheffield, with a new personal best of 23:73 to claim bronze in the 17/18 years 50m freesytle.

Garnett was competing for Staines Swimming Club.
