STANMORE are Veteran’s League Division Three champions.

The club’s 4-1 win over Wembley at the weekend was enough to secure a Division Two spot with a game to spare.

Wembley have finished bottom and will not be competing in the league again next season.

Division Two came to a dramatic conclusion with Ruislip beating Lupton to top spot and promotion to Division One.

Lupton kicked things off by relegating Woodcock Park to give themselves a chance of catching the leaders.

Park’s demotion spared West Harrow, who celebrated securing safety by ending Lupton’s title hopes.

In the top division, Hendon blew their first opportunity to secure successive league titles by losing at home to Ladygate.

Wealdstone took maximum advantage beating Century 5-0.

Hendon now need three points minimum from their final game at home to Pinner, who are battling relegation, to overtake the Stones.
